I especially love oven roasted chicken, when it is made with lots of delicious lemon & fresh herbs ♥
I would really recomend, that you buy an organic chicken (free-range).
Organic chicken (free-range), tastes so much better than a conventional chicken, and it has had a nice life too.
That! is all the money worth for me 🙂
Organic chicken (free-range) are much more expensive than a conventional chicken & I don’t buy organic chicken breasts in the daily (organic ground meat is much cheaper, than organic chicken breasts), but that once a month or less, I make oven roasted chicken, then it is organic (free-range).
If I only make it once a month or less, then I can overcome to pay that 13 $ (11£, 12 euro) a good chicken is worth.
It is crazy that you can get a chicken (conventional) for only 4 $ (3£, 3,5 euro) .. That, just shows how horrible the animals are treated!
That’s why I only make oven roasted chicken once in a while & most in the weekends where there is more time to family & make some delicious food for them 🙂
This chicken with lemon & fresh herbs are so delicious and contain so much flavour & juice, because of the lemon.
Serve it with delicious oven roasted potatoes, bearnaise & a salad ♥
Organic chicken:
- The skin on a organic chicken is nicer – often a bit yellow-ish, due to the great food & corn they gete skin on a conventional chicken is more pale, transparent often filled with veins.
- Organic chicken is not getting fed with GMO feed, like conventional chickens is (disgusting)
- An organic chicken are more juicy & have more tastehanal chicken, as they actually is walking around & growing a normal growth, in a normal pace
