I am writing my series ‘Beauty favourites’. In these posts I am going to show you all of my beloved favourite beauty products.
I have a lot of products that I love and use everyday – also I do not like that over the top makeup look, I am more to the natural makeup look.
As I said, I use alot of the sam products every day – and I have had a lot of the same products for a lot of years. Why switch to something else, if you love the products you already have, and they are good for you and your skin?
I am looking around, and trying new products out, but when I find a beauty product that is perfect for me – I am sticking to it 🙂
Besides that I also want natural beauty products, without parfume, parabens, sulfate etc.
and I am trying not to buy products that are tested on animals. No animal should suffer, because I have to look good.
Well .. This post is about the powder/foundation that I am using.
I use a loose mineral fundation from Youngblood. I really like Youngblood and their products, and I have only amazing experienses with them ♥
I have been using this foundation for years (I honestly don’t know for how long) and I am not going to switch it to a new kind of foundation for now.
Youngblood natural loose mineral foundation has a varied selection of shades to choose between – I use one of the lightest shades for my Scandinavian skin 😉 It is called: Neutral.
This is a fantastic foundation, that is economical in use and has an amazing coverage – but in the same time it looks very natural 🙂
You don’t need much of it, and well …. hmm! I am not sure – but I think that my foundation lasts for min. 6 months. And when it is this economical in use, It is not bad at all that it is a bit expesive (Expensive compared to if you buy some Maybeline or L’oreal).
I simply love it ♥
This foundation consists of ultrafine crushed mineral powder. It does not clog the pores and it lets your skin breathe.
You can buy this amazing foundation here
Youngblood have a lot of other really amazing products. Find them here
As I said this foundation has an amazing coverage, but you don’t feel like you have a thick layer of makeup on. I have read that this foundation should be great for people that suffer from redness, rosacea, acne etc.
Besides that it is also amazing for very sensitive skin – eg. dermatitis.
I have very sensitive skin, and at times I have dermatitis (I use hormone cream for this) and with my sensitive skin, I have never had any problems using this foundation ♥
This youngblood foundation does not contain any parfume, talc or other mean ingredients that many other foundations contains.
They are constant working on keeping all the bad stuff out of their products, to get the best & cleanest products that cares for you and your skin. That is very important! Remember that ♥
How to use it ?
Pour a small amount of powder into the lid and put your brush in here.
Wave your brush around in the lid for some time, to make sure the brush has absorbed the powder
Apply on skin with light circular movements (Remember the neck! – always forgotten! 😉 ). For more coverage – apply more powder after, and do it all over again.
Don’t use too much powder at a time, as it is very concentrated – you don’t need much for light or medium coverage.
What is Youngblood ?
Pauline Youngblood Soli, a pioneer in the industry developed her first products in a medical setting, specifically for patients recording from harsh medical procedures, such as laser or chemical peels, surgeries, and even cancer treatments.
Her patients experienced such dramatic success that they continued using her formula long after their skin had healed, and urged her to make it commerically available.
It became commercially available – and it was a success 🙂
