Ground beef patties woth soft onions, are a Danish classical dish for dinner 🙂

I have made an upgrade on the usual beef patties, and added paprika roasted potatoes & delicious delicious asparagus. Yum!
…. Yea, Well .. I have also added some bearnaise, so that it won’t be dry 😉
Served with paprika roasted potatoes & asparagus, this dish becomes a bit more fresh & hip.
It tastes delicious – But remember it contains plenty of butter 😉
Recipe
Yield: 4 persons
Ingredients:
Beef patties:
- 500 gram of ground beef
- Butter
Soft onions:
- 7 – 8 big yellow onions
- 150 grams of butter
- 4 tbsp water
Paprika roasted potatoes:
- 1 kg small potatoes
- Olive oil
- 1 – 1½ tbsp ground sweet paprika
- 1 pinch of ground cayenne pepper
- Fresh thyme
Butter steamed asparagus:
- 1 big bundle of asparagus
- 80 – 100 grams of butter
- ½ dl water
How to make it:
Beef patties:
- Unpack the meat
- Make patties & sesaon
- Heat up a pan & melt some butter on it
- Fry the patties, aprox. 2 – 3 minutes on each side
Soft onions:
- Slice the onions thinly
- Heat up a pan & add 50 grams of butter
- Add the onions & fry them. Stir a bit
- Add another 80 -100 grams of butter (diced), around on the pan
- Stir onions & butter, and leave it for some minutes. Then stir again
- Repeat until the onions are golden
- Add 2 tbsp of water & let it simmer until the onions are soft & beautiful golden
Paprika roasted potatoes:
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
- Wash & cut the potatoes in halfes
- Add to a freezing bag
- Add olive oil, ground paprika, ground cayenne pepper & fresh thyme leaves
- Put baking sheet on a baking plate
- Add the potatoes to it
- Season with sea salt
- Put in the oven for 20 – 30 minutes
- Sæt i ovnen og bag i 20 – 30 minutter
Butter steamed asparagus:
- Melt butter in a pot
- Wash the asparagus & crack of the ends
- Add the asparagus to the pot & stir
- Lower the heat
- Add water & put on a lid
- Skru ned for varmen
- Let it simmer for some minutes (The asparagus should be cooked, but still have a bite left in it)
Serve with bearnaise 🙂
