This weekend I wanted to make a really delicious treat, and I thought it would be fun to try to make homemade chocolate truffles (Danish; romkugler)
They were very easy to make, and tasted SO good 🙂 My stepson loved them! 🙂
Recipe
Yield: 15 rumballs
Ingredients:
- 400 grams of cake-leftovers
- 4 tbsp raspberry jam
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 2 big tbsp cocoa
- 100 grams of dark chocolate
- 3-4 tbsp rum essence
- 1 tbsp cream
Topping: dessicated coconut, chopped nuts, chocolate/colored sprinkle
How to make it:
- Weigh of the cake remains
- Put all the cake remains in a foodprocessor or mini chopper and mix it – when you’re done, put them in a bowl
- Melt the chocolate
- Add the melted chocolate, raspberry jam, vanilla powder, cocoa, cream & rum essence to the bowl
- Mix it all well together – The dough has to be firm and sticky
- Sculp the dough into round balls
- rrange all the different sprinkles on small plates or bowls and roll the rumballs in it, so that they have sprinkle all over
- Store in the fridge
⇒ You can store the truffles in the fridge for aprox. 4 days – But i’m pretty sure that they will be eaten before 4 days have past 😉
