Last weekend I enjoyed myself baking delicious muesli buns. For a long time a have wanted to try them out, but I just haven’t had the enrgy for starting something new up, and ended up making the same old morning buns as always .. But now I finally made muesli buns.. and they are really good! ♥
They were really delicious, and I am going to make them again soon :), have to see if my stepson likes them, but unfortunately I don’t belive so.. apparently he don’t like nuts hehe
Recipe
Yield: aprox. 12 buns
Ingredients:
- 5 dl cold water
- 20 grams of yeast
- 550 grams of flour
- 200 grams of grahamflour
- Salt
- 60 grams of raisins
- 50 grams of hazelnuts
- 55 grams of oats
- Oil
- Oats for sprinkle
How to make it:
- Dissolve the yeast in the water
- Cut your hazelnuts into half
- Ad flour & salt to the water, the wix it well together (I use my Kenwood kitchen machine)
- When the dough are mixed well together, add the oats (lightly crushed with your hands), nuts & raisins. Mix it in the doug
- Pour the dough in a new bowl (with room for the dough to raise) buttered with some oliveoil.
Let it raise (with a dish towel on) for aprox. 3 hours - Preheat your oven to 200-230 degrees – hot air
- After the 3 hours – pour the dough out on the kitchen towel – use some extra flour if the dough is too sticky. divide it into the number of buns you want, and put them on a bakingplate with baking sheet on
- Brush the buns with water & sprinkle with oats
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes
