I love caramel sauce and there is unlimited possibilities to get it used.
I had never tried making this before – So I am very glad I got to do it!
It tastes 100 times better than the caramel sauce you get in the store, and it takes a minute to make ♥ Easy-peasy!
The most classic dish with caramel sauce is …. ice cream 😉 It just tastes amazing together.
I have made an Ice cream cake, that I topped with caramel sauce, but I have been thinking of trying to make a homemade ice cream with caramel swirl 🙂 Yum!
I have never tried making a swirl before, but I have to become more experimenting with making homemade ice cream – I love homemade ice cream ♥
Recipe
Yield: 1 ½ dl
Ingredients:
- 200 grams of sugar
- 45 grams of butter
- 125 ml cream
- Seasalt
How to make it:
- Heat up a pan – Low heat
- Add sugar & let it melt slowly
- When all the sugar has melted, you add the butter. Let it melt & stir it well
- Add cream
- Mix it all together & (carefully) season with sea salt
- Take of the heat (If you want it thicker, then continue stiring while simmering)
- Pour directly into a glass container & store in the fridge
⇒
If all the sugar hasn’t melted & has become lumps, then use a trainer when your pour the caramel sauce into the container
⇒
Stored in the fridge the consistency will get thicker & harder – Make it more soft & fluid by warming it up in the wicrowave for example 🙂
