Cold weather = Hot chocolate

We are in november – December soon! Wow!
It has become cold outside (But not as cold as it use to be at this time a year), and I have also already been a bit sick! 🙁

Autumn & winter weather, is amazing to be outside in – You just have to wear the right (and warm) clothes! 😉
So after you have been on a nice walk in the woods or out in the snow, it is great to come home to warm homebaked buns & a nice cup of hot chocolate.

This recipe is made with dark chocolate, cinnamon & a bit cocoa powder  – I think that it tastes of more & tastes better if you use chocolate instead of cocoa 🙂
And … Of course you need marshmallows, to make it complete

Yield: 2 cups

  • 250 ml milk
  • 40 grams of dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Marshmallows

How to make it:

  • Chop the chocolate roughly
  • Add milk to a pot
  • Warm it up, on medium heat
  • When the milk is hot, add chopped chocolate, cocoa, sugar & spices
  • Heat it to boiling point
  • Add some marshmallows in the glasses & pour the hot chocolate over (Use a tea strainer, if you don’t want small pieces of chocolate in)
  • Serve!
