I love Kung Pao Chicken ♥
Kung pao Chicken is a Chinese dish that tastes amazing 🙂 It is a very hot dish – so you should love hot food, to love this.
Recipe
Yield: 4 persons
Ingredients:
- 6 chicken breast
- 6 cloves of garlic
- Ginger
- 8 scallions
- 1 ½ tsp sichuan pepper (Optional)
- 15 dried chilies
- Unsalted peanuts or cashew nuts
- Sesame oil
Marinade:
- 4 tsp soy sauce
- 4 tsp Chinese rice wine (Optional)
- 4 tsp corn starch
Sauce
- 4 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 4 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp hoisinsauce
How to make it:
- Mix all the ingredients or the marinade
- Mix all of the ingredients for the sauce
- Dice the chicken and mix it with the marinade – let ir rest for aprox. 15 minutes
- Chop ginger & garlic
- Slice your scallions and cut the chillies in halfes (Possibly take out the chili seeds)
- heat up a deep pan or a wok
- Add some oil. When the oil is hot, add sichuan peppers & dried chili
- Fry shortly and add the chicken
- Fry for 2 minutes and add garlic & ginger
- Fry it all until the chicken is well done and has gotten colour
- Add the slices scallions and fry for some seconds more
- Then add the sauce and mix it all well together over the heat
- Divide into portions and add chpped nuts
- Serve with rice
