Yesterday I made spaghetti & meatballs, for the forst time and it was so delicious ♥
Recipe
Yield: 4 persons
Ingredients:
Meatballs:
- 500 grams of ground veal & pork (or just pork)
- 1 big egg
- 2 slices of wheat bread
- Salt/pepper
- 1 – 2 tsp dried basil
Tomato sauce:
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 bundle/pot of fresh basil
- Olive oil
- ½ – 1 chili (with or without seeds)
- 2 cans of chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp of tomato paste
- 3 dl water
Other:
- 500 grams of fresh pasta
- 1 fresh parmesan
- 2 big avocado
- 1 lime
How to make it:
Tomato sauce:
- Take the seeds out of the chili and chop it finely
- Chop garlic finely
- Pil all og the leaves of the basil plant
- Add chili & garlic to a pot with olive oil
- Fry it until, agile styring. The garlic may not burn
- Add basil – stir until it has collapsed
- Add chopped can tomatoes, tomato paste & water
- Let it simmer for 20 minutes
Meatballs:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees – hot air
- Blend the whitebread (I use a mini chopper)
- Put all the ingredients in a big bowl
- Mix it all well
- Sculp nice small & round meatballs with a tablespoon
- Heat up the oil in a pan and add the meatballs
- Make sure to flip the meatballs so that they get brown & round on all sides (Don’t fry them for too long, as they are going in the oven too)
- When the meatballs are done, Then tour then into a ovenproof dish
- Pour the tomatosauce over the meatballs
- Cook in the oven for 20 minutes
- Cook the pasta
- Serve on top of fresh pasta & garnish with mashed avocado (with lime juice), fresh basil & lots of delicious fresh grated parmesan (I use a mandolin iron – 1,5mm)
