Home at our house, we love cookies .. & I love eating them, making them & experimenting making new & delicious cookie versions.
I have just had a a long time, where I have been making a lot of salted caramel sauce – I love it .. And you can use it for so many things.
I had a whole glas of salted caramel to use, so I thought of making these deliv´cious cookies with salted caramel sauce 🙂
They are so yummy! ♥
We can really disagree about how the cookies should be.
I want mine nice & chewy & my boyfriend want them crunchy (really crunchy!)
Recipe
Yield: 20 – 24 cookies
Ingredients:
- 270 grams of moscvado sugar
- 1 tsp vanillapowder
- 2 large eggs
- 250 grams of flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- Salt
- 1 big tsp baking powder
- 40 – 80 grams of flaked or chopped almonds
- 4 tbsp salted caramel sauce
- 150 grams of soft butter
How to make it:
- Mix eggs, muscvado sugar & vanilla powder well together – It should become a light & airy mass
- Add flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt
- Mix it all well
- Add the soft butter, chopped almonds & caramel sauce
- Mix it all well
- Put the bowl in the fridge until the dough has hardened a bit – then it it easier to handle
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (ordinary heat)
- Shape the dough into round balls with a tablespoon and put them on a bakin sheet, with baking paper on
- Make sure that there are enough space between the cookie balls, as each cookie will melt and become flat
- Bake in the oven for aprox. 10 minutes
- Take the cookies out of the oven and leave them for aprox. 5 minuttes, after this, you move them to a wire rack and let them cool all down
- Store in tightly closed box with baking sheet in between the cookie layers
